Microsoft will be better than Google

Microsoft's Head Vole in Europe, Neil Holloway, says that in six months time Microsoft will be more important than Google in the US market place

Speaking at the Reuters Global Technology, Media and Telecoms Summit, Holloway, who is Microsoft president for Europe, Middle East and Africa, said that Vole is planning a better search engine than Google.

Holloway said that the new search engine will go beyond finding URLs and instead focus on the specific information sought by Internet users.

In fact Holloway is fairly precise about how much better the Vole will be over its rival. He said that Microsoft will be “Twice as Good” as Google. We do not know what unit of measurement he will be using, but if he can do it, we would also like to know how many angels you can fit on the head of a pin.

Microsoft seems to have learned from its countless anti-trust actions that it should not hard-wire the search engine into its operating system, Holloway said. Instead it will end up in Windows Messenger and Hotmail.

This will happen in the US first, followed by the UK around the same time. France and Germany will be about three months afterwards.
